For the first concert of its 50th season, the Orchestre symphonique des jeunes de Sherbrooke is proud to present great symphonists who will demonstrate the pleasure and accessibility of classical music. Conducted by Félix Ste-Marie, the Orchestra will also accompany cellist Gabriel Vincent, a student at McGill University’s Schulich School of Music who began his musical journey in Sherbrooke. As for La Relève, prepared by Eve-Marie Kieffer but conducted by France Veillette during this concert, it will present three exciting pieces.

Orchestre symphonique des jeunes de Sherbrooke

Musical Director and Conductor – Félix Ste-Marie

Founded by the Optimist Club in 1973, the Orchestre symphonique des jeunes de Sherbrooke (OSJS) presents three regular concerts annually. These young musicians, aged between 12 and 25 from the greater Sherbrooke region, also take part in an intensive session as well as various musical activities. On occasion, some of the musicians have the opportunity to attend professional concerts. As such, they are exposed to classical music, improve their performance skills and sound while sharing their love of music.
