Luasc, which means “swing” in Irish Gaelic, is a trio composed of jazz musicians that play Celtic trad music with a jazzy twist. Our repertoire ranges from Irish jigs to Scottish strathspeys, going through Québec reels, Breton airs and Gaelic songs. Their aim is to celebrate that rich centuries-old heritage while giving it a personal modern touch.
Musique Chez Nous Series
Concert Series | Music Department, Bishop's University
The Department of Music at Bishop’s University presents Musique Chez Nous, a concert series featuring the talents of local musicians, visiting artists, and the university’s own music teachers. Our aim is to present a programme that will appeal to all tastes. Most of our concerts are held in Bandeen Hall, found at the historic centre of the Bishop’s University campus.
The Department of Music thanks the Bishop’s University Foundation for its generous contributions to Musique Chez Nous.
